It is, but not that good for the Ibex: El Ibex 35 perdió el 0,6%, hasta 8.672,5: calma tras la ruptura de las resistencias for the rest...just same shit! Good running (~14km) and getting ready for "el clasico" of coming Wednesday!
Tip/paradox of the week:
"Change"*
You may have noticed that
Linkedin has recently started allowing you to endorse others for skills.
One of the ironies of this is that I have been endorsed by several people for
‘change management’ and anyone who knows me well, knows I hate change.
It’s provided Mark and I with several laughs since it’s been going on.Unfortunately for me, change is constant. Despite my preference that world only change at my pace, the world seems not to be listening – and when you work at Manager Tools that’s only exacerbated. Over time I’ve learned to deal better with change. Here’s my three rules of dealing with change:
Change invariably brings good things. When I look back on the changes that have disturbed me most, I realize that after a ‘shaking out’ period, change has always been for the better. A different job was more fun, a different boss taught me different skills, and learning new skill was exciting and rewarding.
My distress is about change, not THIS change. Without delving deeply into my psyche, I realize that I’m just not good with change in general. That doesn’t mean that THIS change in particular is a bad thing. If I can put my distress aside for a few minutes, can I see why it’s necessary or desirable?
Can I get ahead of this change? I don’t like change being imposed on me. But if I can find a way of being part of it – writing a document, developing a routine for it, meeting the people ahead of time, I start to feel better.
Change is inevitable. If you’re like me, start learning to deal with it, even if you’ll never like it.
